Playboy Twins Involved in Terrifying Car Accident

Karissa and Kristina Shannon are popular twins. The ladies gained fame as Playboy centerfolds and as Hugh Hefner’s girlfriends. Now, they are gaining popularity for another reason: A terrifying car accident.

The Shannon twins were involved in an accident on October 12. Luckily, the 26-year-old women walked away relatively unscathed. While driving through Beverly Hills, Kristina, the driver, lost control of the vehicle. Firefighters arrived on the scene and were forced to cut the roof off of the Mercedes they were driving to get Kristina out. Karissa was pulled out of the car through the windshield.

The pair was transported to a local hospital and, while being treated, Kristina was arrested for misdemeanor DUI. As with any story that ends this way, the most important thing for the pair is that both made it out of the wreck alive.

Sadly, the women have seen their fair share of trouble. In 2007, Karissa was arrested for misdemeanor battery. In 2008, both of the twins were arrested for aggravated battery. Those charges stemmed from an incident in which the two got into a fight with others at a house party. The women pled no contest and were placed on probation.

Kristina and Karissa were popular faces on The Girls Next Door, a television show chronicling life in the Playboy mansion. The women lived with Heff from 2008 until 2010.
